Lebanon has a wine heritage dating back over 6000 years. Inspired by this, the Hochar Family setup their winery in Bekaa Valley in the 1930’s. after the French Mandate(1923-1946) that inspired local inhabitants to stand on their own. The pioneer of Lebanese wines, they are often compared to Bordeaux, France.

Joining Greg will be Chateau Musar’s winemaker Bernard Abdelmassih.

Cultivated with respect to sustainable agriculture, Ixsir’s vineyards are spread in the mountains of Lebanon on clay-calcareous and limestone soil, from Batroun to Jezzine, benefiting from the unique microclimates Lebanon has to offer. Ixsir’s vineyards culminate at an altitude of 1800m, making them the highest in the Northern Hemisphere.

One winery in Syria (Bargylus) and another in Lebanon (Marsyas), Bargylas is the only internationally recognised wine in the world today produced from grapes grown and picked in Syria. Chateau Marsyas is deeply anchored in the eastern land, the Johnny R.Saadé family expresses its passion for the terroir and the vine by developing Château Marsyas in the southern part of the Bekaa valley in Lebanon. Known for its wine culture, this ancient region is a privileged place for the design of a great wine according to the most demanding criteria.
